Stay tuned for a video montage by JP Mummey in a week or two. We got some great photos and video.

Lookey who came with Tisser yesterday!
Eric! Yep. They both weren't quite sure exactly what happened last night, but did some decent back squats and pull ups any way. I really miss having these guys in the gym!
Just a head's up. I'm going to be changing the programming a little to incorporate a bit more lifting. I think you're going to like it!

Lookey who stopped in for a workout today!
Finished his first course of Med school and decided to take some R and R in Geneseo for the long weekend. Yep, he was hungover, but I can tell he's been keeping up with his training! He might stop by for another workout tomorrow if you want to see him. You know it wouldn't hurt you to get another workout in this week.
I am cursed by being born a Buffalo Bills fan, and even more cursed to have a nut case friend whose name starts with a J and ends with a P, who tempts me into doing his "human sacrifice" workouts. Ouch. Go Bills.

Goals
What do you need to work on? Why are you here? What's the GOAL? What do you want to be your goal and what should your goal be? Lot's to think about here. Yes, everyone does the same workout every day, and my programming is designed to work on the weakness of who I am expecting that day, but you all have time before and after your workout most days. What should you be practicing? Robyn. You want a pull up for your significant birthday. Let's work on those!
Anyone want to lose weight/fat? Let's talk about what you are eating and add some walking/running/biking/rowing to your weekly workouts.
I love setting goals for things I know I can do. Row a million meters? No problem. Row a marathon? No problem. Run 3 5K's with a snarky back? No problem. 100 man makers or 200 burpees human sacrifice to the football gods? No problem.
A 2 wheel deadlift and BW bench? I find a million excuses to not train. What's up with that? Strength training is hard for me, and that is exactly why I should be focusing on it.
Kudos to Karen for setting a goal for something she didn't really want to do (run a 5k, and by the way she ran 3 of them).
Yes. Regular training without a purpose is way better than not training at all, but training with a goal is so superior to just throwing some sweat at the iron.
What do you want to accomplish? Talk to me. And ask me how those DL's and benches are going. Accountability is sweet.

Perfection
Only 5 of us know what was really going on here!
One of the reasons that no more fun can be had than right here in the barn (besides the burpees) is that we all know and admit we aren't perfect. Something about the intensity of the exercise, dogs and cats running around, and being around this much iron and rubber allows us to let our guard down and really get to know eachother.
Found this Great article on one of my FB friends page this morning. An interesting read and real food for thought.
